Consultancy

Consultancy

As a consultant, I work with nonprofit arts and community organizations to audit and unearth
dormant resources, opportunities and partnerships. I zero in on the heart of the matter to activate impact.
The project models evolved are geared to get results based on benchmarks for measurable change. Community feedback is built into the core of each step of the process.I work with projects to strengthen organizational dynamics and ultimately create a shorter line between the resources at hand and the objectives and mandates.

Curriculum development

Curriculum Development

My passion for training and mentoring began as a catalyst and pedagogical assistant at an experiential learning hub called College Autogéré. As a person navigating the world through the lens of disability.I specialize in the research and implementation of inclusive and collective learning models. My expertise includes, cross cultural and intersectional facilitation, educational and communication tool development; as well as organizational program development.I am passionate about developing highly customized and specific educational delivery models. Designing curriculums and certification programs across underserved and invisible communities has informed my ability to respond to highly nuanced and often unaddressed subtleties, needs and priorities.Working with grassroots frontline health and wellness initiatives has allowed me the freedom to honour and design frameworks that catalyze the energies of youth and elders. I have a passion for the power of intergenerational narratives and knowledge systems. My commitment to helping to foster cultures of accountability has led me to work with organizations and individuals seeking to reposition their corporate culture, and teams looking to gain skills related to media literacy, organizational retraining, management restructuring, anti oppression training, and intersectional awareness.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality

I believe that everyone is capable of change and that worries regarding public perception shouldn't stand in the way of meaningful growth and development.Given the sensitive nature of many of areas in which I specialize (public relations, consultancy, etc) and the delicate nature of reputation; as it relates to upper management I offer all of my clients the option of a confidentiality clause that can extend to include complete anonymity.

Food sovereignty

Indigenous food sovereignty Systems

My work focuses on preserving time-sensitive Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) for future generations, ensuring that food knowledge remains accessible to all.I have three decades of experience in Indigenous food sovereignty, I have led food preservation programs, inter-generational gardening projects, and crafted initiatives anchored in traditional knowledge.Through storytelling and place-based work, I have witnessed the far-reaching impacts of cross-sector collaboration on individuals, communities, and families. By utilising a nurturing approach, collectively, we can plant the seeds for culturally relevant policies, global Indigenous exchanges, and improved well-being within these groups.

Coaching

Coaching

My practice is based on accountability, theory of change, and respect for my clients lived experince. However, I don't baby my clients because that won't help them be successful. I can't help clients hide from the consequences of their choices, because that won't generate results. My coaching practice is holistic, in the sense that I help people navigate reality as it is. Some people might find my approach to be spartan. I take that as a compliment.I was raised by soldiers who were also teachers, artisans and farmers. The foundation of my coaching is two pillars; love and discipline. The simple fact of the matter is one requires the other. We have to love ourselves. Yet we also have to respect ourselves. We have to have love for others and respect them.I’m not the type of coach to tell you everything's okay when it isn't. However, I am the type of coach to help you figure out how to take the next step.

The project is a multilingual publication (Mandarin, Cantonese, French, and English). In my role as creative director, I secured close to $600K worth of assets in terms of talent and participation.I have supported and consulted on a wide variety of niche publishing startup initiatives for unique audiences. Potography

Photography

I held my first camera at age five. After three decades as a photographer and art director I am still completely awed by what happens when a individual/ community gains access to the resources to generate their own media express the cartography of their inner and outer world. In the 1980’s I was part of collective of photographers & graphic artists working with local neighbourhoods to produce coffee table books around equity, local heroes and economic sustainability.
